Training is something our department holds in the highest regard. Each firefighter participates in an average of 40 hours of in house training per year, which covers operations and standard operating procedures. In addition members participate in training classes through OSU Fire Service Training on an as needed basis. We have members trained in a multitude of different disciplines. Some of the levels of training ans certification held by one or more of our members are:

National Incident Management System (NIMS)

Nationally Certified Firefighter I (IFSAC)

Wildland Firefighting

LP Gas Emergency Operations

Haz-Mat Operations

Auto Extrication

Agricultural and Farm Machinery Extrication

Rope Rescue Technician

Swift Water Rescue

Fire Service Instructor

Fire Investigator

Emergency Vehicle Operations

and much much more.

Come by and visit us on Wednesday nights between 6:30pm and 9:00pm and learn more about what our members do in support of the community and the training to do it safely.
